 Home Too Foundation EmpowerU (Foster) Youth Mentorship Program

The Home Too Foundation EmpowerU (Foster) Youth Mentorship Program is a transformative initiative designed to empower teenagers in the foster care system with the tools they need to excel in life. Developed in collaboration with the Home Too Foundation and The Real Reel University (TRRU), this 12-month program combines mentorship, education, and personal development to guide foster youth on a journey of growth, resilience, and self-discovery.

 

Through carefully selected mentors who embody the values of compassion and success, foster youth are matched with mentors who genuinely care about their well-being and future. The program's three phases—Empower, Educate, and Elevate—progressively equip mentees with essential life skills, boost their confidence, and foster a sense of purpose. With support from The Real Reel University's (TRRU)  expertise, mentees gain resources that empower them to navigate financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and practical life skills.

 

In collaboration with The Real Reel University (TRRU) EmpowerU will infuse principles of empowerment, leadership, and personal growth into the program through regular group activities, community projects, and outings nurture a sense of belonging and camaraderie among mentees. As the program culminates, mentees emerge with enhanced personal skills, improved academic performance, and a clear path towards their future careers.

 

The Home Too Foundation EmpowerU (Foster) Youth Mentorship Program extends beyond its duration, creating a lifelong alumni network that provides ongoing support, networking opportunities, and mentorship to program graduates. Focused on operating in an agile-functioning space, the program offers a structured curriculum, personalized mentorship, and practical resources to foster adaptive thinking and innovation.

By combining resources, skills, and compassion, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those facing hunger.

  1. Alleviating Food Insecurity: Provide nutritious and sustainable meals to individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity in Atlanta.

  2. Building Community: Foster a sense of unity and support within the community by rallying volunteers around a common cause.

  3. Promoting Sustainable Practices: Incorporate eco-friendly and sustainable practices in meal preparation, distribution, and sourcing.
